It will also enable us to invoice you and to contact you where necessary concerning your booking. 3.1 The information you provide to us will be held on our computers and may be accessed by or given to our staff working outside the Far East Asia and third parties including companies within the Miki group of companies some of whom are located outside the Far East Asia Area in particular, Japan and UK who act for us for the purposes set out in this policy or for other purposes approved by you. Those parties process information, fulfil orders and provide support services on our behalf. We may transfer or disclose your personal information, to our professional advisers and to such other parties as we consider necessary, for the administration of the website and related business or if required to disclose such information by law.

3.2 Finally, if our business enters into a joint venture with or is sold to or merged with another business entity, your information may be disclosed to our new business partners or owners.

3.3 Countries within the Far East Asia Area do not always have strong data protection laws. However, we will always take steps to ensure that your information is used by third parties in accordance with this policy.

5.1 We employ security measures to protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. Protection of the booking details and credit card information you give to us is a major priority therefore, and we have implemented a security policy that guards against unauthorised access. Data on our secure pages is encrypted using our BT Trust Services Global Server Certificate, provided by Verisign. Our servers are secured behind firewalls to prevent unauthorised access. Your passwords are stored encrypted in our database.

5.2 Miki Travel use 128 bit SSL, the strongest commercially available level of encryption. All your private data will be encrypted at all times whilst in transit over the Internet. SSL is special software that automatically encrypts any data sent by you on our secure pages. Our server then reads the data using a private key. This means that your data, be it credit card information or any other personal details, is turned into code that can only be decoded with the private key or password. All pages on the site that require you to enter personal or sensitive information are secure. You may see the address of the page change from starting with http to https. Your browser will also indicate that the page is secure by displaying a padlock or key in the status bar at the bottom of the window. If your browser is suitably configured, you will receive a warning message when you first access any secure page on the site. This is simply information to advise you that the site is protecting your data. We will retain your information for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires.

5.3 We however cannot guarantee the security of any personal data/information you disclose online.
